Hello everyone! My name is Amy Gauger, and I’m a mom of 5 just trying to finish this degree. I’m dual majoring in history and anthropology, which makes this Museums course a no-brainer. I absolutely adore museums, and make it a point to visit one everywhere I go. Sometimes this means amazing museums (the British Museum and the National Museum of Scotland) and sometimes the somewhat off-beat (the Caterpillar museum in Peoria, Illinois). With all of the museum touring, it naturally occurred to me that I’d like to work in one when I grow up, and this class is a great place to start. I’m looking forward to getting to know everyone and learn about the inner workings of museums!
